Rebates available for qualified elderly

(5/8/2006) The Department of Elderly Services is offering New Haven renters the opportunity to get a rent rebate. The program is run through the State of Connecticut Office of Policy & Management.

If you were 65 years or older by December 31, 2005, or are18-64 and disabled with income of $ 27,100 (if you are unmarried) or $33,000 or less (f you are married), you may be eligible for a rebate. Rebate values range between $50-$900.

Rebates will be processed between May 15, 2006 – September 15, 2006
